Wild rumors of John Travolta being gay spread in 2014 after his former pilot Doug Gotterba alleged that they had a 6-year-long relationship. Travolta has since discredited the rumor.
According to pilot Gotterba, who had kept logs, he and John first met in February 1981, and they were already in a relationship by September. They traveled on romantic trips to Hawaii, Amsterdam, and Kenya.
