#EndSARS: 15 victims of Lekki shootings appear at Lagos Judicial panel

15 alleged victims of the October 20 Lekki Toll Gate shooting have appeared before the Lagos state government judicial panel.

protesters had gathered to call for an end of police brutality and abuse of their human rights by security agents.

After the shooting of unarmed protesters at the Lekki Toll gate on the 20th of October 2020, there as been mixed reportage as to what actually happened on that fateful day.

The said victims who appeared before the panel were 15 in number. 14 of them said they were shot at Lekki Toll Gate on the evening of October 20, while one was said to have been shot Ojodu Berger. They were led in by the EndSARS counsel, Adesina Ogunlana.

In their entourage was one Mr Nathaniel Solomon, who alleged his younger brother, Abouta Solomon was shot dead at the toll gate. He said Abouta has since been buried in his hometown in Mubi Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Another woman, Aiyedungbe Olufunmi Grace, whose brother died at LASUTH after suffering gunshot wounds to the head, was also in attendance. She alleged that after her brother’s death, the hospital authorities changed the story and said he died of COVID-19.
