A Lagos-based drug seller, Eze Celestine Okorie has been arrested by operatives of the Nationwide Drug Regulation Enforcement Company, NDLEA.

Spokesperson of he NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, who disclosed this in an announcement on Sunday, August 29, stated Okorie was arrested following the interception of 4.15kilograms of methamphetamine consignment going to London, the UK on the NAHCO export shed of the Murtala Muhammed Worldwide Airport, Ikeja, on thirteenth August.

“The drug was hid in tins of tomato and packaged for the driving force of a freight forwarding firm to ship on the airport export shed for onward motion to the UK,” Babfemi stated.

“Although the freight companys driver was initially arrested, comply with up investigations and subsequent sting operation led to the arrest of the kingpin behind the consignment, Eze Celestine Okorie, at his Coker, Surulere, Lagos dwelling on Wednesday twenty fifth August, 2021. He hails from Isu village in Onicha LGA, Ebonyi state.” the spokesman added.
