Does Grant Ward become a villain?

Ward first pretended to be a devoted S.H.I.E.L.D. black ops specialist before being exposed as a vicious, cunning, and delusional double agent of HYDRA. Eventually, Ward rose to become one of the organization’s last leaders.

The most painful and impactful betrayal in Agents of SHIELD has to be Grant Ward’s turn in the Season 1 episode, “Turn, Turn, Turn.” At this point, Hydra revealed its position within SHIELD, and a mole was exposed in Coulson’s team.
