Amanda Dugan announced her departure from KXAN Austin after more than ten years as a traffic and news anchor.

After earning her degree from Texas State University, Amanda started working for herself when she was hired as “America’s Next Top Co-Host” and joined the morning show “Orange Juice and Biscuits” on KTSW-89.9 FM.

Less than two years after making a name for herself in radio, Amanda launched her own morning show, “Rise N Shine.”

Amanda Dugan is really leaving KXAN. Through her social media, the news reporter shared the information. In March 2012, Dugan started working for KXAN.

She was led to the station after receiving the title of “2011 CW Austin Star” on KXAN sister station KNVA 54. In this role, Dugan served as The CW Austin’s voice, face, and personality.

The Texas State University alumnus worked at KTSW 89.9 FM for her first radio position. She worked as an intern for “The Bobby Bones Show” as well.

Five months after receiving her degree, she was named one of the Top 5 Finalists in the annual CW Star Search. After completing several “challenges” successfully and receiving enough online votes, Amanda was selected as the 2011 CW Austin Star and offered the opportunity of a lifetime.

Her husband’s name hasn’t been made public, though. One of the couple’s two children was born in the latter half of 2021.

She routinely posts pictures of her kids on Instagram. She goes by the handle @amandadugankxan on Instagram. She occasionally shares pictures of her family, but she mainly shares photos from the workplace.

The small family of three is happy and comfortable with its circumstances.
