Katie McGlynn is an English actress. She is known for her roles as Jodie “Scout” Allen in Waterloo Road, Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street, and Becky Quentin in Hollyoaks.

She also competed in the nineteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing before being eliminated in week 3.

Having appeared in an episode of BBC1 daytime drama Moving On, and played minor roles in The Well, Paradox, and Leonardo, her first major television role was in Waterloo Road as Jodi “Scout” Allen.

In 2021, McGlynn started appearing in the regular role of Becky Quentin in Hollyoaks. On stage, she has appeared in Colin Meredith’s productions of Aladdin and Babes in the Wood.

After beginning drama school at the age of ten, she studied Drama, English, and Media Studies at A-level.

She bagged roles in BBC drama Moving On as well as minor parts in The Well, Paradox, and Leonardo.

But her breakthrough role was in BBC school-set soap Waterloo Road in which she played Jodi “Scout” Allen.
