Coronavirus Lockdown: President Buhari To Meet COVID-19 Task Force Team Today

President Muhammadu Buhari will later on Tuesday afternoon (today) hold a meeting with the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
This was disclosed via a tweet from the federal government’s official Twitter handle @NGRPresident on Tuesday morning.

The meeting will hold inside the presidential villa in Abuja amidst concerns that Nigeria may be preparing for another lockdown as a result of fears concerning a second wave of coronavirus hitting the country.

“@MBuhari will meet with the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 this afternoon,” the presidency tweeted.

PRESS INFORMANT recalls earlier on Monday, the PTF Chairman and Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha announced fresh COVID-19 restrictions in Nigeria so as to curb further spread of the coronavirus disease.

The new measures restricted the number of guests at weddings, conferences, and sporting activities to fifty and also ordered the closure of all bars, nightclubs, and restaurants.

The federal government also ordered schools to remain closed till at least January 18, 2021.

Similarly, civil servants on grade level 12 and below have been directed to stay at home for the next five weeks.
