Qin stated that China’s relationship with the US “is an important,” regardless of rising tensions after Washington’s resolution to participate in a diplomatic boycott of the video games in protest of human-rights abuses, most notably genocidal actions in opposition to Uyghur Muslims and within the northwest province of Xinjiang.

Qin denied that there was such a genocide.
