Buhari Makes New Promises To Africa On Behalf Of Nigeria

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed on behalf of the nation to play an expected role in moving Africa forward.
Press Informant  understands that the Buhari made the declaration on Wednesday, December 23 at the presidential villa while receiving a former President of Mali, Alpha Konare.

Speaking on behalf of the president in a statement made available to newsmen a few moments ago, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said Buhari promised Konare that ‘Nigeria will continue to play its expected role in Africa.’

The statement read, “President Muhammadu Buhari said Wednesday that Nigeria will continue to play the role expected of it not only in the West-African sub-region but also on the African continent.

“The President stated this at the State House, Abuja, during a meeting with former President of Mali and first Chairman, African Union Commission, Professor Alpha Oumar Konare, who came to discuss the current political situation in his country as well as issues in West Africa and Africa.

“The Nigerian leader commended Prof. Konare for his continuing interest in the affairs of West Africa and the continent.”

In another news earlier, Press Informant reported that Former Nigerian Presidential aide, Reno Omokri vowed to offer Garba Shehu $20,000 as a reward to sleep in two villages in Nigeria.

Reno challenges the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari to spend a night at two communities of Borno and Sokoto State without security men following his statement that the incumbent president has secured the nation, Press Informant  reports.
