Boko Haram Leaders Have Relocated

The State Safety Service (SSS) has requested safety companies in Kaduna to “step up surveillance and intelligence gathering” within the state as Boko Haram leaders and their foot troopers have relocated to Southern Kaduna from Sambisa.

In a memo seen by Peoples Gazette, the terrorists are mentioned to have relocated from Sambisa forest in Borno state to Rijana forest in Chikun native authorities space of Kaduna.

The memo acknowledged {that a} “senior Boko Haram fighter, Ibrahim (FNU) alongside his foot troopers” had been relocating to affix their counterpart “beneath the management of 1 Adamu Yunusu (aka Saddiqu)”

The SSS ordered the Nigeria Safety and Civil Protection Corps (NSCDC) to extend safety measures within the “aforementioned areas and envions,” and that operatives of the corps “must be placed on alert and report accordingly.”

In response to the memo, the NSCDC has been “directed to step up surveillance and intelligence gathering on the aforementioned areas and environs.”
