Arsenal Players Divided Over Ozil’s Return To The Squad

Reports from Arsenal have claimed that there is a rift between the club’s players over the return of Germany international Mesut Ozil to the club squad in January.
At the end of the season, a deal between Arsenal and Ozil, who earns £350,000-a-week, will expire at the end of the season. Throughout this year Ozil was ruled out of the Premier League and Europa League by manager Mikel Arteta.

However, sources in the club say Ozil is expected to return to the squad in January, where he has been sidelined due to internal club politics.

He also has the opportunity to part ways with Arsenal once the transfer window opens and a number of clubs are looking to sign him.

Ozil has been rumoured to be in talks with Turkish side Fenerbahce for weeks, but only if he agrees to a new, 200,000-a-week deal, which is £100,000 short of his pay at Arsenal.

Reports have suggested that some of the club’s players are in favour of bringing Ozil back into the squad.

However, some see the player’s return in January as futile as he is already out of action and the relationship with the coach is not good enough to see him return to action. get the chance to play regularly and then it will be difficult if he can give the team what it needs.

Ozil’s feud with Arsenal dates back to former boss Unai Emery and Arteta, who has been linked with a move away from the club, although some believe the club’s top executives are involved.

Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42m and has since helped the club win the FA Cup and reach the Europa League final before losing to Chelsea in the final.
