Anambra Elections: Deputy Governor Dumps APGA, Embrace APC

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday acquired the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke, who left the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) final week.

 

Okeke was offered to the president on the Presidential Villa, Abuja, by the APC caretaker chairman and Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni, in firm of Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State.

In the meantime, APC within the state has expressed pleasure over the defection of the deputy governor.

 

In an announcement by the Director, Media and Publicity, Senator Andy Uba Governorship Marketing campaign Organisation, Victor Afam Ogene, described it as a welcome growth.

 

Reacting, the state Commissioner for Data and Public Enlightenment Mr.C.Don Adinuba, described the defection of the deputy governor as unconstitutional. He stated that if the deputy governor was uncomfortable with the get together he ought to have resigned his place.
