Senator regains freedom after 54 days

Senator Nelson Effiong has regained his freedom after 54 days within the kidnapper’s den.

The previous Senator who represented Eket Senatorial district in Akwa Ibom state, was kidnapped in Uyo on September 5.

Confirming his launch to newsmen, Nkereuwem Enyongekere, the publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) within the state, mentioned the previous lawmaker was freed on Friday October 29.

“The All Progressives Congress Akwa Ibom State Chapter needs to intimate the APC household and most people of the discharge of Sen Nelson Effiong who was kidnapped on Sunday night of September 5, 2021.

The Senator gained his freedom simply yesterday (Friday, October 30, 2021) from the enclave and grip of the lads of the underworld.

It’s our deepest concern as a celebration to register our honest gratitude to God Almighty and all who contributed in somehow to facilitate his launch and return to his household and celebration.

We humbly pray to God to accord you all of the commensurable blessings you deserve for figuring out with us all through the interval of the predicament.”
