Anti-Open Grazing Bill

Akwa Ibom State Home of Meeting has handed the invoice on the prohibition of open grazing within the state into legislation.

The invoice entitled, “A Invoice for a legislation to ban open rearing and grazing of livestock and supply for the institution of ranches and Livestock administration, regulation and management, and for different issues related therewith” was handed after it was learn the third time on the ground of the
Home in the course of the plenary, presided over by the Speaker, Mr. Aniekan Bassey.

Chairman, Home Committee on Agriculture, and member representing Ikono State Constituency, Asuquo Udo,
offered the report of Joint Home Committee on Agriculture and Pure Assets, Lands and Housing to the Home.

The lawmakers adopted the suggestions of the Joint Home Committee on Agriculture and Pure Assets, Lands and Housing, thought of within the Committee of the entire.

Chief of the Home, and member representing Oruk Anam state constituency, Udo Akpan, moved a movement for the anti-open grazing invoice to be learn and handed, seconded by the member representing Nsit Ubium state constituency, Mr. Otobong Bob.

The Speaker, Mr. Aniekan Bassey, thereafter, directed the Clerk of the Home, Mrs. Mandu Umoren, to transmit similar
to the governor for assent.
