2,000 ACD loyalists decamp to APC

About 2,000 members and supporters of the Advanced Congress for Democrats (ACD) decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State on Sunday.

The member representing Borgu-Agwara federal constituency at the National Assembly, Jafaru Agwara, received them.

NAN reports that the lawmaker advised the defectors to align with the APC ideology.

Nura Kokoli, Chairman of Agwara Local Government Council, assured that decampees would be carried along.

Shehu Agwara, ex-ACD Chairman in Agwara, explained that he and his followers joined the APC due to the “successes of Jafaru Agwara and in providing dividends of democracy”.

The politician thanked the legislator for the empowerment of his constituents.
